Just how popular could the iPad menu be for attracting more guests to your establishment by offering one? Well if the early sales numbers for March, 2012 for the iPad 3 aren’t telling enough, then we are not sure what is. That’s because from March 7th – the official launch date of the iPad 3 tablets – through today, Apple is reporting that approximately 3-million units have been sold. When you tally up the numbers, based upon the average selling price of $599 (retail), between the two weeks that spanned from March 7th-20th, Apple took home a staggeringly impressive estimated $1.8 billion in revenue. That’s three million more people in the US that are enjoying using the new iPad 3, not even counting how many folks are already using the first and second generation version of this popular tablet. In case you are wondering, it’s the most successful technology release in history, and is the equivalent to four times the sales of the best selling movie opening weekend in the history of cinema. And last year’s numbers further emphasize how many people love and are using iPads, as about 42-million units sold worldwide last year alone. You can learn more about the new iPad 3 on Apple’s website.
